On July 3, 2015, I turned 49 years old and had my last drink.
It was that evening when I pondered what it was I wanted to accomplish before my 50th birthday. I knew I wanted to pay down debt, grow my business AND be in the best shape of my life.
When I rose above those desires to see what might get in my way, I found some habits and some beliefs that needed to go if I were going to achieve them. Among them, a mostly daily drinking habit that wasn’t serving me.
When I took time to observe this habit I could see clearly that this one habit was impacting my decision-making, my energy level, my spending habits and my eating habits. Even one or two glasses had an adverse impact on the very things I knew I wanted to improve.
I made the decision to stop drinking.
I asked my husband to join me.
We agreed to stop drinking for 3 months.
We haven’t looked back since.
9 months later…
My business has grown significantly.
My creativity has flourished.
My clarity has intensified.
I’m sleeping SO much better.
I feel better, healthier, than I have in YEARS.
We’ve saved THOUSANDS of dollars in 9 months.
I’ve saved tens of thousands of calories by not having wine, chocolate, cheese & cracker parties at 8pm.
I’ve said YES to things I might have normally said no to because I didn’t “feel” like it.
My life has changed for the better.
Our lives have changed for the better.
And I’m really proud of myself.
What would that change be for you?
What ONE thing is having an impact on your living your best life?
Nothing will change until you make the decision to change, to try something different.
Nothing will change by accident, by default.
Nothing will change if you don’t surround yourself with people, ideas, resources that are in support of the direction you want to go.
What if you took a moment to rise above the noise of your world and the world?
What if you looked around and figured out what changes you’d like to make between now and the end of the year for a better, more deliberate life?
What if you had other like-minded people who were willing to move forward in their lives as part of a new group of supportive and encouraging friends?
What if you had a guide for the journey? Journaling prompts, experience prompts, recommended readings and one-on-one sessions designed to help you get out of your own way?
I’ve created a program that will help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity and courage. All you have to do is decide that it’s time. All you have to do is decide whether or not you want me to be your guide.
All you have to do to make a change in your life, is to decide.
Make it so!
If not now, when?
If not with me, with us, then where and with whom?
Stop making excuses. Start making decisions!
Be deliberate daily.
