Movin’ On Up!

There comes a time in every work from home entrepreneur’s business when a decision to stay or to go has to be made.  I looked around my home one day, after one of the most active and explosive periods of growth in my business I’ve ever experienced and saw the evidence that my business was taking over our house.  I looked over at my husband and saw that he could see it too.  And so, the search for a great space to house all the awesome, was on.

IMG_6043 IMG_6042Excited to be all moved into my new office space in beautiful downtown Louisville, KY – my hometown and the town of my heart.

Great view of the river just over my left shoulder.  Perfect for those pensive moments.  Great view of 21C and the gargantuan golden statue of Michaelangelo’s David to my right.  Perfect for those moments when I need creative inspiration or assurance that it could always be worse, I could be painted gold and standing on Main Street.  LOL.

Top 5 Cool Things about my new office space.

  1.  I know lots of other people who have offices in this building!
  2. The opening scenes of Stripes, starring Bill Murray and many other awesome folks, was filmed in this building and all over downtown Louisville.  (you can watch it all on YouTube)
  3. I am within walking distance of some of the best restaurants and tourist attractions in the city.
  4. I have a space to meet in that doesn’t include dog hair, cat hair or a rotating gaggle of hungry young adults who wake up at 2pm and come downstairs for “breakfast”.
  5. I will be working less around the house and therefore spending more quality time with family, friends and our four legged family.
IMG_6093I’ve already hosted a couple of great meetings and look forward to many, many more.  If you’re in the neighborhood, let me know!  I’d love to see ya.   I’ll move the plant out of your way and you can have a seat on that nice chair, with no cat or dog hair on it!
